L'and Vineyard resort
In rural Alentejo Portugal, surrounded on one side by vineyards and bordering a lake, across medieval hilltop town of Montemor-o-Novo sits the low-slung, white modernist buildings of the L'and Vineyard resort.
Located in the heart of Alentejo, set in a unique landscape defined by Vineyards and lakes, L'AND Vineyards is an exclusive and private resort with only 22 suites integrating modern architecture with nature whilst providing an atmosphere of understated luxury, natural beauty, peace and tranquillity.
The resort is situated around a formal wine farm or Winery and has a swimming pool which commands sublime views of the nearby lake and Medieval hilltop castle of Montemor-o-Novo.
The 22 suites are divided between 10 "sky view" suites and 12 "land view" suites. The sky view suites have retractable roofs allowing you to sleep under the star and marvel at the Alentejo night sky. These rooms also have small outdoor patios with plunge pools that allow you to refresh after a hot summers day. All suites also come with a large private terrace installed with a fireplace.
The design elements inside the resort are also one of the pillars here with void lights by Tom Dixon, chairs by John Serodio and bespoke wooden pieces by George Nakashima.
The hotel has one on-site restaurant which also happens to be the only restaurant in the region with a Michelin Star, chef Miguel Laffan’s cooking is inspired by regional, seasonal ingredients that change depending on what's available at the time of the year.
The hotel can provide bicycles that you can borrow for riding around the lake or for exploring the surrounding farmlands and can arrange wine tasting with products made from their very own vines.

Location

How to get there
L’AND Vineyards is located 100 km, about an hour’s drive inland, from Lisbon’s Portela Airport (LIS). If you don't have access to a car, there are hourly buses from the center of Lisbon that can drop you off in the neearby town of Montemor-o-Novo. From there its about 5 minutes by taxi to the resort.
