Forestis Dolomites is a strikingly modern luxury lodge located in an absurdly beautiful South Tyrolean valley that takes mountain escapes to the next level with its stunning views, amazing style and new world charm.
The hotel has 60 rooms spread across multiple levels as well as three unique towers. Every single room, from the Penthouse, to the suites as well as the regular rooms come with stunning views of the scraggly Dolomites mountain range that sits front and centre across the valley from the hotel.
The original Hotel building was originally designed as a Sanatorium for the Austrian monarchy then used as a summer retreat for the Vatican. This building houses the lobby, restaurant, bar and standard suites. Three space age towers then rise next door which host the fitness center, tower suites and rooftop bar. The design of the hotel is minimalistic with the owners deliberately avoiding too much art, sculpture and furnishings so as to emphasise and celebrate the amazing vistas and natural surrounds of the hotel.
There are 4 different types of rooms in the hotel. The Penthouse Suite sits atop the hotel and is surrounding by dense treetops of the surrounding forest. Nothing obstructs the view down into the valley and offers easily one of the best views in the Italian Alps. The Tower Suites at Forestis is located in the unique towers that sit just off to the side of the main hotel. Floor-to-ceiling glass façades and natural spruce wood create an architectural frame for the Dolomites. The regular Suites and Rooms are located in the original historic building. Its rectilinear construction determines the architecture of the Suite. The alignment to the south with views of the Dolomites has been retained.
The hotel has a stunning indoor and outdoor set of swimming pools which are located on the lower level of the spa. Massive glazed windows frame the ever present Dolomites and a large door opens to allow you to swim from the indoor pool through to the outdoor pool which sits perched on a ledge overlooking the valley. The spa also has a fully equiped gym, fitness center Yoga room as well as 7 different Saunas.

Dogs are welcome for €30 a night and the hotel will supply a cute little bed as well as bowl, baggies and some food (for an extra charge).

Location
The hotel sits deep in the Italian Dolimites, close to the quaint village Palmschoss on a slope of Plose ski resort. Sitting at an altitude of 1,800 metres, this location will literally take your breath away. The hotel offers ski-to-door access to the nearby ski slopes and is also bordered by the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites.
How to get there
The closest international airport is in Innsbruck, which is a two-hour drive away. There are regular, direct flights from most major cities in Europe. If you're flying from within Italy you can fly into Bolzano Airport, which is only a 90-minute drive away. Regular trains from Munich, Milan, Venice, Innsbruck and Verona arrive direct at the nearby Brixen Train station which is only 30 minutes by car from the hotel. The Hotel will send a car to pick you up if you let them know in advance.
