Sitting high in the coastal mountain ranges of Topanga, California, is Saddle Peak—a two-level, four-bedroom holiday house that offers stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island and the surrounding mountain terrain.
Designed by award-winning Sant Architects and constructed of monolithic concrete slabs, iron beams, wood and glass. This breathtaking, spacious property boasts designer furniture, clean lines, an additional studio, and an amazing indoor-outdoor flow.
The upper level of the main building consists of two bedrooms with a shared deck facing the rocks and pool area. The living room, dining room and kitchen fill out the other wing of the house with views out to the Pacific on one side and on the other, the pool and gardens. This part of the home also has oversized, slide-away doors that open to present different perspectives and angles of the property. There is a third master bedroom on the lower level of the house.
The fully-equipped kitchen is state of the art and is ideal for entertaining poolside and dining alfresco.
The adjacent one bedroom studio can accommodate up to four and features identical design features, quality and detail and is perfect for vacationing with family and friends. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with native plants and incorporate the wild natural beauty of Topanga.
With its organic, horizontal silhouette, raw concrete facade, and Bauhaus-leaning interiors, this midcentury nature retreat brings modernity to the mountains.

Location
Set above the coast in the Santa Monica mountains, Topanga Canyon is a relaxing and peaceful mountain community that straddles the Pacific coast and the San Fernando Valley. It’s just a short drive to Malibu or Santa Monica and a half hour from the greater Los Angeles area.
How to get there
The nearest major airport is LAX (Los Angeles International) which is located around 40 minutes away by car. There is not much public transport out of Los Angeles and around Malibu / Santa Monica so we highly recommend that you hire a car if you don't have one.
