Nestled in glorious greenery - a short drive from the famous Patong beach - sits a resort that contains an incredible mix of architectural anomalies. From Birds’ nests to seedpods, to thatched hobbit holes, every building is a unique, visual wonder.
This unique 38-villa resort is located on the west coast of Phuket near Kamala Beach, which is close, but fortunately not too close, to Patong, the famous Thai island's beachside nightlife area. Set on a jungle-clad hillside with each strikingly designed villa clinging to it.
All of the one and two-bedroom villas in the resort feature their own plunge pools of varied dimensions, with the design of the resort itself based on the cultures and traditions of four clans of ancient Phuket settlers.
Without a doubt, the highlight of the Resort are the eight Bird's Nest Pool Villas. Having graced countless magazine covers and Instagram feeds, its unlikely that these are already unknown to you. Once you see them, however, you'll understand why they are so famous.
Designed to look like a woven cocoon hanging in the treetops, these Villas certainly do stand out. The front opens up with floor to ceiling windows that offer stunning views out over the Phuket coastline and the Andaman Sea beyond. Scope out the scenery curled up in your four-poster, while submerged in your alfresco bathtub or from the edge of the private lap pool.
The resort has two restaurants onsite. The Mala Restaurant, whose dishes hail from south Thailand and spice-route stops China, India and Sri Lanka and the Cha-La Pool Bar which offers light refreshments near the pool having taken inspiration from local Asian street food.
The resort is located in the hills just above Kamala Beach which lies just north of the lights and noise of Patong and is a quieter stretch of sand with a more relaxed feel. This well-enclosed bay and active fishing village surrounded by forested hills is one of the most beautiful places in Phuket.
Phuket International Airport is a 45-minute drive from the resort. Direct flights arrive from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, Russia, Japan, the UAE and Europe daily and many more connections can be found via a short hop to Bangkok.
