Coming in at only 30-square-metres this apartment punches well above its weight when it comes to practicality and liveability. Despite its modest size, the apartment still feels spacious thanks to the clever design solutions the architects have come up with.

The apartment consists of a single main room that contains the lofted bed, some super smart storage options, the dining area and kitchen with a separate bathroom near the entrance.

The centrepiece of the space is an eye-catching elevated level solution, which was built only with the use of plywood. It not only brings a natural touch into the modern, chic apartment but acts as a functional puzzle game involving the double bed, the storage and all the kitchen equipment.

Behind the bed, an entire wall features a configurable system with removable pegs that hold shelves. A mesh curtain separates the sleeping unit from the kitchen, which features concealed units and a small circular dining table with three overhead striped pendant lights.

The architects, Position Collection, describe the apartment as "a tiny home that was designed to provide a memorable accommodation experience for two style-seeking Budapest travellers."

Visitors can store their clothes on green wall-hung metal railings placed opposite the sleeping area, which also includes built-in cupboards and storage shelves adjacent to the steps that lead up to the bed.
